An outstanding and very rare 17th century Sacrestia Commode from the Catalan region of Spain. beautifully constructed from naturally washed walnut. Magnificent patina. This piece was originally in a church's sacristy - the room for keeping vestments and other church furnishings, such as sacred vessels and parish records.
