Exceptional French 18th Century Louis XIII Style Sofa FTP1980

An exceptional mid-18th century Louis XIII style Sofa from the Provence region of France. Beautifully constructed with handsome walnut and original horse hair stuffing. This wonderful piece has hinges and butterfly bolts at the back. Once the bolts are removed, the back lays down. In order to lay the back at the same level as the seat, the back must be supported from underneath. Ready to be reupholstered. Fabulous patina.
